HORNE Streamlines Construction and Disaster Recovery Programs with its Mobile Field Service App

HORNE, a U.S.-based CPA and business advisory firm with a government services division, faced a labor-intensive, paper-based process for thousands of construction and disaster-recovery inspections each year. Inspectors spent significant time in the office assembling estimates, notes, photos, and reports, slowing project delivery and adding overhead.

Working with OutSystems and partner C2S Consulting, HORNE built Canopy Inspect, a mobile field-service app that delivers site-specific checklists, uses dollar-value logic to track progress and flag deficiencies, and auto-generates PDFs that upload to HORNE’s Canopy case-management system. The app freed inspectors from paperwork, increased field time, sped up construction and recovery programs, and allowed HORNE to move faster with fewer people.
