HDI Accelerates Development and Delivers Mobility With OutSystems

HDI, a leading provider of life and non-life insurance in Italy, needed to speed development and deliver mobile-friendly experiences for agents and customers. Its traditional waterfall process using .NET and Java was slowing iteration and making it hard to produce the mobile applications frontline agents required.

HDI adopted the OutSystems low-code platform (with support from Almaviva), moved to Agile, and assembled a small cross-organizational team to build EasyMob. Within four weeks they delivered a mobile-friendly web app for premium calculations and policy sales, enabled rapid updates via API integration, simplified the user experience, and made it easier to onboard developers—prompting plans to expand the OutSystems team.
