England and Wales Cricket Board Enables Fast, Flexible Innovation With OutSystems

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) needed a faster way to develop applications and make better use of its large and varied data to support cricket growth across England and Wales. Long development cycles were slowing innovation, and ECB turned to the OutSystems platform to help IT work more closely with the business and deliver ideas more quickly.

Using OutSystems, ECB built a collaborative low-code development process and launched a fast-bowling coaching app that brings sensor data, video, coach observations, and training plans together in one place. The app was delivered in just two months by a team of three developers, helping improve player-coach collaboration and enabling more evidence-based decisions, faster innovation, and lower development costs.
