The legacy platform was slow to change, prone to manual errors, and only revealed problems after customer complaints, so EDP needed a fast, risk-free modernization that wouldn’t interrupt mission-critical finance processes.

Using OutSystems, EDP built Collect, a modular, integrated payment-collection core that links SAP/Oracle, business units and banks to centralize and automate processing in real time. Collect now handles roughly 80% of collections, improved UX for 200+ agents, cut customization time by half, enabled early error detection, reduced complaints and duplicated work, and rolled out with zero operational interruptions.
