Clark University Launches “Mi Peace” App to Provide Mental Health Self-help and Support from Professionals

Clark University’s Mosakowski Institute partnered with OutSystems and delivery partner Do iT Lean to launch Mi Peace, a behavioral-health app and portal aimed at helping adolescents and young adults—particularly young men of color—build social and emotional skills. Faced with pandemic isolation and the urgent need to reach vulnerable students, the institute needed a fast, flexible digital solution to connect young people with self-help resources and professional support.

Using a two-week ideation workshop and eight months of agile development on the OutSystems low-code platform, the team delivered the Mi Peace mobile app and back-office case management portal with ongoing enhancements. The app offers guidance and self-help for common concerns, connects users to mental health professionals, and gives schools and community groups a holistic view of trends and interventions, making support accessible direct-to-consumer and to partner organizations.
