Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte (BSH) — Portuguese branch — faced a time-consuming, error-prone manual process to handle invoice clarification requests from large distributors. Complex commercial terms (list prices, discounts, promotions) led to many disputed invoices, delayed payments and a negative impact on cash flow.
Using the OutSystems Platform, BSH launched a SAP-integrated web application in six weeks that automates nightly invoice validation, sends daily email-triggered workflows, assigns and reassigns tasks, and provides full tracking, document attachment and audit trails. The system supports 12 tailored user profiles, manages about 1,400 active documents, identifies and assigns pending invoices within 24 hours, reduces administrative overhead and shortens payment lead-times, improving cash flow.
