Providing a Secured Application Development Platform to Accelerate Innovation and Increase Developer Productivity

Wakanda, the aPaaS provider founded in 2014 that delivers the Wakanda Platform on AWS to accelerate web and mobile app development, faced the challenge of embedding robust security into its platform without impacting developer productivity or performance. To address PaaS-specific risks and meet AWS, CIS and CSA best practices, Wakanda engaged Outpost24 and its EWP solution to integrate continuous security into their development and deployment workflow.

Outpost24 implemented continuous assessment and monitoring—including its Live Vulnerability Management—to automate vulnerability and misconfiguration analysis across private, public, hybrid and multi-cloud components. This allowed Wakanda to proactively identify and mitigate flaws (for example, Heartbleed) before customers were affected, save remediation time by providing a complete attack-surface view, and significantly reduce the platform’s attack surface while preserving performance and developer velocity.
