Third Space, a luxury health club group in London, faced a challenge with outdated communication. Their young team of fitness instructors rarely used email, preferring apps like WhatsApp, which made managing class cover requests difficult and prevented the company from gaining a centralized view of staffing trends across its clubs to protect the member experience.

The club implemented OurPeople, a smartphone-driven workforce management platform, to streamline its communication and class cover process. This allowed the vendor's solution to centrally manage cover requests and, crucially, extract data to identify operational trends. Using this data, Third Space reduced the number of classes requiring cover by 3%, made more strategic recruitment decisions, and improved people management, all of which positively impacted the experience for members attending their 4,000 monthly classes.
