Modernization of a Legacy IBMi Management System

Mission Produce, a global avocado producer, was relying on a legacy IBMi AS400 system to manage logistics and supply chain operations. The outdated setup created heavy manual work, extra overhead, and difficulties with compliance, reporting, and supporting the company’s new production plant in Peru. OSSCube was brought in to modernize the process using a service-oriented architecture application integrated with the existing IBMi/DB2 environment.

OSSCube built a responsive Zend Framework-based application for the Peru plant that connected critical workflows from source to warehouse to distribution while adding role-based access and real-time reporting. The solution improved supply chain visibility, automation, and operational efficiency, reducing overhead and operating costs while helping Mission Produce make faster decisions with better data and compliance reporting.
