NW Natural launches a new Smart Energy sign-up flow with Oshyn in 2-week sprints

NW Natural, Oregon's largest natural gas utility, faced the challenge of integrating a new carbon offset program, Smart Energy, into its customer portal. This integration needed to be completed in parallel with an ongoing Sitecore upgrade project managed by vendor Oshyn, creating additional development and testing complexities. NW Natural also needed to collaborate with a design agency to overhaul the program's sign-up flow.

Oshyn developed the Smart Energy application as an Angular app within the Sitecore portal, adapting to new requirements and collaborating effectively with the external design team. The solution was delivered through iterative sprints and daily scrum meetings. Oshyn successfully launched the redesigned sign-up flow with no post-launch issues, which strengthened NW Natural's confidence and led to plans for additional projects with the vendor.
