Genius Solutions launches Cortex in 2025 with OSEDEA, processing 5,000+ hours of content

Genius Solutions, a Quebec-based software development firm, faced the challenge of modernizing its Genius ERP platform for small and mid-size manufacturers. The self-hosted nature of the platform meant each client used it uniquely, making it difficult to build scalable predictive AI models. Furthermore, creating an effective agentic assistant required processing a vast, multilingual knowledge base while balancing response speed and accuracy. They partnered with vendor OSEDEA to address these challenges.

OSEDEA developed predictive models for vendor lead times, job delays, and demand forecasting, deploying them via automated Azure Machine Learning pipelines. For the agentic assistant, named Cortex, OSEDEA built ETL pipelines to process over 5,000 hours of content into a searchable knowledge base using Semantic Kernel. Cortex successfully launched in September 2025, helping users find information faster. The predictive models are in active development and expected to deploy in early 2026, with the architecture built to provide clients with future ROI-driven improvements.
