Shoott, an online photography service that connects clients with freelance photographers, used Ortto to help recover revenue they were losing when customers viewed their photo galleries or started checkout but did not complete a purchase. As Shoott grew across 600+ locations in 60+ U.S. cities, it needed a better way to automate email and SMS follow-up for abandoned carts and other missed sales opportunities.
Using Ortto’s journey builder, Shoott created automated abandoned cart and expired gallery recapture campaigns based on behavioral data, custom events, and timed delays. The results were strong: the abandoned cart journey averaged an 83.5% open rate and 15.1% click-through rate, while the expired gallery journey delivered a 78.6% open rate and 46.8% click rate, helping reduce Shoott’s no-purchase rate by 3 percentage points and cut time-to-purchase lag by 50%.
