Frankfurt Airport, Germany’s busiest airport serving over 60 million passengers yearly, needed to boost retail sales under a revenue-share model by giving its hundreds of on-site stores a unified online presence. The airport required a solution that could integrate with diverse store ERP systems, connect website, mobile app and loyalty services, and support both online and offline commerce — a challenge addressed with OROCRM’s technology (OroPlatform/OroCommerce/OroCRM) and implementation partner AOE.
Using OroPlatform’s CRM capabilities, AOE built a centralized omnichannel eCommerce portal that lets travelers browse stores, buy items or order for pickup, and lets the airport monitor each store’s retail activity through the Frankfurt Airport site. OROCRM’s solution increased consumer engagement, opened new marketing opportunities, and created an additional revenue channel by linking physical and digital retail experiences.
