Building Materials Europe (BME), operating Busca and Raboni, is a leading distributor of building materials (9,500 employees, 7 countries, €3.8B revenue) that needed to digitize its traditionally offline businesses onto one platform. BME’s goals were to give internal sales teams enriched, accessible product data to support cross-selling and technical advice, and to offer customers reliable information and services such as product availability, personalized pricing, and quote requests. To execute this digital and eCommerce strategy BME partnered with Synolia and chose OroCommerce as its B2B eCommerce platform.
OroCommerce implemented a unified B2B platform integrated with Akeneo PIM and the ERP, delivering real-time inventory status, personalized prices, a store locator, request-for-quote, customizable product lists, and preserved complex pricing rules—while running two distinct branded sites from a single back end and admin dashboard. The OroCommerce solution streamlined quoting and price management, improved sales support with enriched product information, and positioned Busca and Raboni as stronger competitors in their markets, enabling faster operational decisions and ongoing digital enhancements like click-and-collect.
