Ontario MD needed faster, more secure access to hospital reports in primary care EMRs to reduce paper flow and enable timely follow‑up for complex patients. To address this, Ontario MD (with eHealth Ontario) selected Orion Health and its Rhapsody Integration Engine to build the Hospital Report Manager (HRM) that integrates with OntarioMD‑certified EMRs and later pilot the eNotifications feature.

Orion Health’s Rhapsody powered HRM and the eNotifications pilot, delivering measurable improvements: HRM now sends over 190,000 clinical reports per month (more than 1 million reports to date), supports 2,900 clinicians and 74 sending locations, and is growing by ~500 physicians per quarter. eNotifications reached 400+ clinicians, produced near‑real‑time alerts with 100% of notifications reviewed within seven days (57% for complex patients), reduced paperwork and sped up coordinated care—demonstrating clear gains in timeliness, workflow integration and EMR adoption.
