Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information builds one patient, one record with Orion Health, serving 614,879 medication profiles

Orion Health partnered with the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information (NLCHI) to address the challenge of creating a single, province-wide electronic health record. NLCHI needed to pull data from many disparate systems to provide a unified "one patient, one record" view for authorized clinicians, with the goal of improving care coordination and decision-making across the healthcare system.

The solution implemented Orion Health's Clinical Data Repository, Clinical Portal, and Rhapsody Integration Engine to form the HEALTHe NL platform. Orion Health acted as a trusted advisor throughout the project, creating a central aggregation point for patient information. The results include over 8,000 users and significant benefits such as reduced duplicate testing and improved patient safety, exemplified by emergency physicians using the system to avoid adverse drug events by accessing comprehensive medication profiles.
