A Orion Health Case Study

Preview of the Cureous Innovations Case Study

Cureous Innovations Builds Interoperable Ecosystems that Improve Patients’ Health, Wellness, & Care Experiences

Cureous Innovations, a health information interoperability firm spun out of HealthInfoNet, set out to export Maine’s proven HIE services and expertise to other statewide and regional initiatives. Faced with the challenge of assembling patient‑centric, community‑based systems from vast and varied healthcare data while improving internal efficiency and end‑user adoption, Cureous partnered with Orion Health and implemented Orion Health’s Amadeus and broader interoperability toolset to support scalable, secure information exchange.

Working with Orion Health, Cureous delivered technical assessments and targeted enhancements—initially for the Idaho Health Data Exchange—including improvements to customer‑facing data presentation layers, Single Sign‑On (SSO) and API endpoints, expanded handling of substance‑use disorder, mental health, PDMP and other protected data, plus new gateways for national interoperability. Within months the collaboration enabled Cureous to win multiple partnerships, optimize internal operations and end‑user adoption, and deploy a robust software and service stack designed to give clinicians greater confidence in workflows and decision making.
