Case Study: Statistics Netherlands cuts SPSS maintenance costs with Origina

Statistics Netherlands gains buy time for its IBM estate with Origina

Statistics Netherlands (CBS), a Dutch government institution, relied on IBM SPSS software for its critical data analysis work. Their challenge was to reduce high software maintenance costs while gaining flexibility for a future migration. They needed a solution that would provide expert support without locking them into an upgrade path dictated by their software vendor.

Origina provided third-party software maintenance, significantly reducing the agency's annual maintenance spend. The solution gave Statistics Netherlands greater control over its IT roadmap, buying them time to plan their future software estate. As a result, they achieved cost savings, increased service quality, and gained a trusted partner for future security and migration support.
