CIRSA, a member-owned risk pool providing insurance to local governments in Colorado, was impeded by an inflexible and outdated legacy claims system. This technology lacked automation, slowed down claims management, and prevented CIRSA from effectively supporting its 270 members. To modernize its operations, CIRSA turned to Origami Risk for a new RMIS solution.

Origami Risk implemented its cloud-based RMIS to automate claim reporting, processing, and complex financial calculations for billing and premium allocation. The solution included a member portal for real-time access to claims data and also began serving as a customer relationship management (CRM) platform. This resulted in faster, more accurate billing, substantial time and cost savings for CIRSA's finance department, and gave members improved tools to track and manage their claims. Origami Risk's system provided the foundation for CIRSA to expand its analytical services and continue driving down the total cost of risk for its membership.
