European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the world’s leading alliance of public service media, needed to prepare its workforce for a major industry transformation under its Vision2020 initiative. To do this, it had to align employee skills, knowledge, and experience with future business needs and build a scalable competency framework that could be used across the employee lifecycle and rolled out globally.

Using Orgvue’s workforce planning and skills-mapping capabilities, the EBU built a process to connect job positions to competences, identify skill gaps, and quantify where investment would have the greatest impact. Orgvue helped analyze 50 skills areas, map 50–70 key roles to 400 positions, and create a benchmarking model usable by 73 organizations, all in just two months.
