A OrgSync Case Study
The University of Texas at Dallas introduced OrgSync in 2009 to centralize student organization management and boost student engagement. After a small summer pilot to gather feedback, the main challenge was driving broad campus adoption and awareness across diverse departments and more than 230 student organizations.
UTD paired student advocates with four targeted marketing campaigns—Freshman Orientation signups, a “Pimp Your Page” website contest, OrgSync “Kool‑Aid” promotions, and a six‑week competition series—using giveaways, events and prizes to incentivize use. The approach generated strong uptake: 285 active portals, participation from student government, residence life, volunteer and academic units, 65 orgs in the first Six Weeks campaign and growing campuswide engagement.
