A OrgSync Case Study

Preview of the Lamar University Case Study

Going Paperless at Lamar University

Lamar University, a growing Texas campus of more than 13,000 largely commuter students, joined OrgSync in summer 2010 to cut rising print costs, track student involvement, and give students web-based, real-time access to campus information and services. The university needed a digital solution to streamline processes across student organizations, campus recreation, orientation, and leadership programs.

By adopting OrgSync’s forms, messaging, calendar and file-sharing tools, Lamar moved 28 paper forms online within a year and expanded platform use campus-wide. Copier usage fell from 81,095 to 39,613 pages and outside print costs dropped from $2,325 to $1,048; applications for campus programs surged (Who's Who 5→30, orientation advisors 30→100), while overall engagement grew with roughly 2,800 users and 190 student organizations active on the system.
