Collecting Involvement Data for Annual Assessment of Outcomes

The Office of Student Activities at La Sierra University needed a better way to manage 125 student organizations and systematically track student co‑curricular involvement to meet seven department objectives and support annual assessment and WASC accreditation. Seeking centralized data and improved communication, the office adopted OrgSync in 2010 to streamline organization management, reporting, and outreach.

By implementing OrgSync’s centralized organization directory, Involvement Manager, communication tools, leadership portal and campus umbrellas, the OSA made the platform an integral part of campus life within a year. As of June 2011 La Sierra had 125 registered organizations and 1,462 OrgSync users; the system enabled accurate involvement tracking, funded Co‑Curricular Transcripts, improved event promotion and advisor-student coordination, and produced the data needed for annual assessments and accreditation.
