ProHealth achieves automated discovery and visibility of unmanaged devices and accelerated campus network segmentation with Ordr

ProHealth Care, a large Wisconsin healthcare provider with thousands of staff and hundreds of thousands of patients annually, faced the challenge of identifying and securing thousands of diverse network-connected IoT and medical IoT devices across many sites. Manual tracking and legacy visibility tools (NetFlow/IPFIX/AVC) left gaps for both Biomed and IT teams—making device inventory, vulnerability tracking, and segmentation slow and error-prone—so ProHealth Care turned to Ordr and its Systems Control Engine (SCE) to address these issues.

Ordr SCE automatically discovers and classifies every connected device, monitors device behavior, and dynamically generates ACLs to accelerate campus network segmentation and enforce policies across NAC, switches, wireless controllers, and firewalls. The deployment delivered automated device visibility, faster segmentation, improved HIPAA compliance, and operational savings, while giving ProHealth Care actionable utilization analytics (for example, tracking 334 infusion pumps with 276 in use, 83%) to repurpose underutilized equipment—all achieved with Ordr driving the solution.
