Ordr Selected to Deliver Forensic Level Device Insight and Threat Protection for University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, a major NHS teaching and research hospital serving millions and employing over 11,500 staff, faced a common healthcare IT problem: a hyper‑connected network full of medical, IoT and facilities devices that lack built‑in security and limited visibility, increasing risk of ransomware, data theft and lateral movement. To tackle this, the Trust selected Ordr and deployed the Ordr Systems Control Engine (SCE) for forensic‑level device insight and threat protection.

Ordr implemented SCE with strategically placed sensors and AI‑driven profiling to automatically discover, classify and baseline every device in real time, feed inventory into UHS asset management, and generate automated micro‑segmentation policies enforced on the hospital network. As a result, Ordr enabled instant device cataloguing and risk profiling, continuous east‑to‑west monitoring, rapid isolation and remediation of threats, identification of weak ciphers, certificates and device recalls, and improved device utilization data to support DSP compliance and capital planning.
