A Ordnance Survey Case Study
Oman’s National Survey Authority (NSA) is undertaking a modernisation programme to deliver reliable, credible and authoritative geospatial information for government and citizens. To assess its readiness and priorities, NSA engaged Ordnance Survey International to perform a Geospatial Maturity Assessment to evaluate how it specifies, collects, manages, distributes and improves geospatial data.
Ordnance Survey International conducted an evidence-based assessment (interviews and maturity scoring) against key geospatial and operational criteria and delivered a detailed report with maturity scores, recommended target levels and prioritized actions. The Ordnance Survey International report gives NSA a clear starting point and roadmap for its modernisation programme, helping prioritise investment, align with national initiatives and improve civilian services and infrastructure decision-making.
