A Ordnance Survey Case Study
James Denholm Partnership, an architectural practice, needed accurate, up-to-date maps for feasibility studies, planning applications, design work, and CAD/PDF outputs. They wanted a fast, cost-effective way to access OS MasterMap data for short-notice projects while keeping control of mapping costs and maintaining a competitive edge.
Ordnance Survey, via FIND Maps, provided online access to OS MasterMap Topography Layer and OS MasterMap Address Layer 2 through a cloud-based, pay-as-you-go portal. FIND Maps reorganized map layers to simplify use, enabled instant export to CAD and PDF, and offered extra datasets such as flood and environmental information. The result was reduced data costs, faster sourcing, no need to buy or install software, and less reliance on site visits and surveys thanks to the accuracy of Ordnance Survey data.
