Ducklington Parish Council - Customer Case Study

Ducklington Parish Council needed a clearer, more accessible way to show local facilities and communicate events such as road closures and planning applications to residents. To solve this they turned to Ordnance Survey and its OS OpenSpace mapping service to integrate familiar, interactive maps directly into their website.

Using Ordnance Survey’s OS OpenSpace (via the Web-Map Builder tool) the council embedded maps showing points of interest, footpaths, conservation areas, parish boundaries and planning applications. The Ordnance Survey solution automated plotting of parish-specific information, made road-closure and planning updates easy to communicate, and saved time and effort for the volunteer web team while improving resident access to up-to-date local information.
