Avon Primary Care Support Agency needed a faster, clearer way to identify which GP practices patients could register with and to put those results into geographic context (including nearby hospitals and pharmacies). SWCS implemented the HealthGIS GP Finder mapping portal—using AddressBase Plus and Ordnance Survey mapping products—to let staff enter a home postcode and instantly view eligible practices, addresses, phone numbers, distances and nearby services.
