Barry Callebaut adopts e-Invoicing for complex markets

Barry Callebaut, a global leader in cocoa and chocolate products that issues about 150,000 invoices annually, needed a cost-effective e‑Invoicing option for smaller customers where traditional EDI was too complex and expensive. Faced with country-by-country legal, digital-signature and archiving requirements across Europe plus printing and mailing costs, Barry Callebaut selected Order2Cash to provide a white‑labeled SaaS e‑Invoicing/invoice‑management solution.

Order2Cash implemented a phased, SAP‑integrated rollout (starting January 2014) with print & mail, multi‑currency/multi‑language delivery, digital signing and archiving; Barry Callebaut onboarded 25 top customers first and extended to 25 countries. The Order2Cash platform eliminated the 2–7 day mailing delay, sharply reduced lost invoices, quickly hit an initial 25% of invoices online (30% of non‑EDI invoices), and put the company on track for 50% e‑invoicing by end‑2015 and 75% by 2016—improving cash flow and customer experience.
