How Replit uses Orb to ship product faster

The customer, Replit, wanted to adopt a usage-based pricing model for a new product but faced a significant challenge. Their existing billing system could not support this new model, and building an in-house solution would have critically delayed their product launch timeline.

The vendor, Orb, provided a fast and flexible billing solution that was implemented in just one month. Using Orb allowed Replit to launch their new Autoscale product on schedule, easily make last-minute pricing changes, and reduce the engineering effort required for billing. As a result, Replit was able to launch a product with customer-friendly pricing and has since expanded their use of Orb to additional products, empowering their engineers to focus on development rather than billing infrastructure.
