A Oracle Case Study
Yunus Market is a Turkish supermarket chain with more than 100 outlets and 3,500 employees that developed its own business administration software, new cash registers, and a virtual shop. The company faced mounting infrastructure challenges: an on‑site fire exposed security and continuity risks, branches needed faster access to centrally managed data (for example, price updates), and IT staff were spending too much time maintaining on‑premises hardware instead of developing core applications.
Working with Oracle partner Olimpos, Yunus Market migrated the bulk of its systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (Compute, Block and Object Storage Classic). The move provided scalable, secure cloud compute for 100+ branches and hundreds of users, improved performance and faster local issue resolution, eliminated much of the capital expenditure on physical hardware, hosted 90% of servers in the cloud, and freed IT to focus on the virtual shop and in‑house business software.
