Yamama Cement Streamlines Supply Chain with Automated Human Resources and Consolidated Dispatch Handling While Boosting Processing Speed by Over 70%

Yamama Cement, a leading Saudi cement producer established in 1961 with a capacity of about 6.3 million tons per year, needed to replace fragmented legacy purchasing, financial and inventory systems and to improve raw-material sourcing, production accountability and employee timekeeping. The company also wanted HR self-service for employees and seamless integration with existing logistics and dispatch tools to bring rigor and visibility to its supply chain and back-office processes.

Working with Tata Consultancy Services, Yamama deployed Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 and related modules (Financials, Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management, HR, Time & Labor, Process Manufacturing, and Asset Management), integrating with its third‑party dispatch system. The rollout automated order-to-cash and raw-material receiving, consolidated inventory and procurement data, replaced punch-card payroll with accurate time and payroll processing, and enabled HR self-service for 90% of staff—cutting process times by more than 70% while improving visibility, procurement decisions, payroll accuracy and production monitoring.
