Y‑Telecom, one of Yemen’s four mobile operators with about 2 million subscribers and thousands of daily activations, faced rising performance, availability, and scaling challenges. Aging hardware and single points of failure caused multi‑day outages and slow service activations, backups took up to two weeks, and the company needed faster provisioning for promotions while lowering total cost of ownership.

Y‑Telecom migrated billing and data‑warehouse workloads to Oracle Exadata running Oracle Database 12c with Multitenant, Oracle RAC, and Oracle ZFS ZS3‑2 storage, supported by Oracle Advanced Customer Support.
