lululemon, the Vancouver‑founded designer and retailer of athletic apparel with nearly 500 stores and global community events, faced a finance challenge as it pursued a five‑year plan to substantially grow revenue outside North America. To support that expansion the central FP&A team needed to break down regional silos, improve planning and forecasting, and become more responsive to rapidly changing market conditions.
To do that lululemon moved its planning to Oracle Cloud EPM (migrating from on‑premises Hyperion) with implementation support from Huron Consulting. The cloud solution’s strategic modeling, built‑in AI/ML, and configurable dashboards let the company run scenarios, stress‑test plans across 12/24/36 months, and provide real‑time executive visibility—improving forecasting, connectivity between central FP&A and international regions, and enabling a more proactive planning culture.
