Wichita Public Schools slashes costs with Oracle Cloud ERP

Wichita Public Schools, the largest school district in Kansas, needed to decide whether to upgrade its aging on-premises Oracle E-Business Suite system or move to the cloud as its support contract ended. With 94 schools and nearly 10,000 employees, the district wanted to reduce manual processes, improve reporting, and lower the costs and risks tied to traditional IT.

Oracle implemented Oracle Cloud ERP to create a fully integrated requisition-to-payment process with electronic expense and purchase card processing. As a result, Wichita Public Schools cut IT dependence from 90% to about 15%, expects to save more than $2 million in total cost of ownership over 10 years, and eliminated invoice keying while improving automation, visibility, and budget review speed.
