Wendy’s, the second-largest fast food burger chain in the U.S., needed a more agile business system to better support its growing needs across employees, franchisees, and operations. Its older Oracle E-Business Suite environment was hard to maintain, lacked self-service capabilities, and struggled to support users working across different devices and environments, prompting Wendy’s to pursue a cloud transformation with Oracle.

Oracle implemented a phased cloud solution using Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Cloud EPM, Oracle Cloud HCM, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The result was a unified, integrated platform with stronger reporting, simplified account structures, automated workflows, real-time HR data, and better franchisee billing management; Wendy’s also migrated more than 21 databases to Oracle Exadata Database Service through Oracle Cloud Lift Services, improving performance, scale, and availability while reducing risk during the transition.
