VenuesWest, a Western Australian government agency that manages 13 major sports and entertainment venues, experienced rapid growth that exposed limitations in its legacy financial systems. Multiple disparate applications made integrating booking, POS, payroll and facility transaction data slow and reporting for budgeting and governance difficult, prompting a modernization push to improve financial, procurement, and asset-accounting processes.

VenuesWest implemented Oracle Cloud ERP with partner ASG Group to create an integrated, cloud-based finance platform. The rollout was completed in months and delivered measurable efficiencies — requisition creation fell from 3–4 minutes to seconds, transaction and approval times (5 minutes to 30 seconds for journal approvals) were drastically reduced, revenue/payroll/procurement and asset accounting were integrated, and reporting and decision-making capabilities were significantly improved, with strong user acceptance.
