Twelve Labs, an AI company that builds models to understand video like humans do, needed massive compute resources to train its video foundation models on hours of footage. The company used Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), specifically OCI AI Infrastructure, to handle the demanding training workload for multimodal video models.

Oracle implemented high-performance GPU node configurations, CPU memory storage, and a low-latency RDMA network to support Twelve Labs’ training needs. As a result, Twelve Labs reported 5X to 10X training efficiencies with Oracle, helping it bring its models to market faster than expected.
