USG People, a European provider of temporary and specialized staffing across eight countries, experienced rapid growth that eroded visibility into its Oracle Database licensing. The company was running Oracle Database Enterprise Edition on eight Oracle VM–managed machines with uncapped partitions and multiple instances/users, creating complex licensing requirements, higher costs, and compliance risk.
