UNS adopts Oracle platform as a service for database course availability

Université Nice Sophia Antipolis (UNS), part of Université Côte d'Azur on France’s Mediterranean coast, runs master's programs in ubiquitous data, big data, databases, and system integration and has taught Oracle technologies since 1990. Facing growing demand for data‑intensive coursework and limited on‑premises server capacity, the IT department needed to ensure reliable database access for students, avoid large hardware investments, and expand its curriculum to include cloud database instruction.

UNS adopted Oracle Platform as a Service—deploying Oracle Database Cloud Service and Oracle Java Cloud Service—to supplement local servers and provide 24/7 high‑availability databases and development environments.
