University of Western Australia creates offer letters 6X faster with Oracle PaaS

The University of Western Australia (UWA), a leading research university, was producing more than 23,000 complex offer letters a year using manual Word-based processes that required selecting from 25+ templates and personalizing about 90 data fields. The labour-intensive workflow was slow, error-prone, and created legal risk and limited visibility for managers, so UWA sought an integrated platform to improve data accuracy, efficiency, and the student experience.

UWA deployed Oracle Integration Cloud Service, Oracle Service Cloud and Oracle Policy Automation, building templates, staging tables and integrations to pull real-time data from its CRM and student systems. The project cut letter production time sixfold (about 5 minutes vs 30), freed up 20% of staff capacity, reduced legal risk and errors, enabled new staff to generate letters without special training, improved managerial visibility, and was rolled out for domestic letters in four months and international letters three months later.
