A Oracle Case Study
United Automotive Electronic Systems (UAES), a Shanghai‑based automotive electronics supplier founded in 1995, needed to centralize and secure millions of structured and unstructured documents used across R&D, emissions testing, and production. Documents were scattered across multiple systems, slowing collaboration, creating duplication and version‑control issues, and forcing staff to rely on IT for access—hindering productivity and growth.
Working with partner Shanghai Tongfu, UAES implemented Oracle WebCenter Content and Oracle WebCenter Portal in five months to create a single, scalable digital‑asset management platform that supports 200 concurrent users. The new system cut digital‑asset management costs by US$328,000, enabled document archiving 50× faster, provided sub‑2‑second portal access, standardized authorization and workflows, eliminated duplication and multiweek reporting delays, and improved collaboration and compliance.
