Unilever Prestige lowers inventory and cuts waste with Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM

Unilever Prestige, part of Unilever, needed a way to keep its luxury beauty brands nimble while gaining more scale and efficiency across supply chains. As the business grew rapidly and relied heavily on online sales, its brands were using spreadsheets and separate planning tools, which created inefficiency, data inaccuracies, and risk—especially given complex planning needs like small production runs, long lead times, and shelf-life constraints. To address this, Unilever chose Oracle Fusion Cloud Demand Management and Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Planning.

Oracle implemented a standard planning platform across Unilever Prestige to improve forecasting, scenario planning, and supply visibility. The results included better forecast accuracy, streamlined planning, reduced inventory waste, and a 10% reduction in inventory on a days-on-hand basis; forecast bias improved from +/-20 to +/-10. Oracle also helped improve data quality, reduce manual errors, and support future attribute-based planning for shelf-life management.
