Uganda Revenue Authority Ensures 99.9% Service Uptime for Government Ministries and Services to Citizens

The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), responsible for assessing and collecting public revenue, faced frequent downtime, poor peak-time response and limited support from aging database and server systems. To improve tax administration and ensure reliable online services for government ministries and citizens, URA sought a single-vendor, high-availability solution to eliminate outages and boost performance.

Working with Oracle and local partner Technology Associates, URA deployed Oracle SuperCluster, Oracle Solaris 11 and Oracle Database, supported by Oracle Advanced Customer Support and Business Critical Assistance. The rapid, integrated implementation delivered 99.9% service uptime, eliminated outages, dramatically improved peak responsiveness, enabled proactive issue resolution, and has supported a national rollout including the Single Customs Territory without impacting performance.
