Uber Freight enables real-time pricing over API integrations with Oracle Cloud

Uber Freight built one of North America’s largest digitally enabled carrier networks and needed a way to make freight pricing and booking easier for shippers. The company chose Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) in Oracle Cloud to support real-time pricing, reliable capacity access, and more flexible tendering and controls in a fast-changing logistics market.

Oracle and Uber Freight integrated the Uber Freight API with Oracle Transportation Management to deliver 24/7 transparent pricing, instant quotes, and the ability to lock in rates up to 21 days in advance. The results included lower overhead, better operational flexibility, and measurable savings: shippers saw an average of 10% or more savings per load versus RFP and spot auction, up to 5% savings versus contract pricing, and one large U.S. consumer products company shifted 30% of its freight through the API while cutting total transportation costs by 5%.
