A Oracle Case Study

Preview of the Tunisie Telecom Case Study

Tunisie Telecom Enhances Customer Experience by Achieving Zero Downtime for Billing System, CRM, and Databases

Tunisie Telecom, Tunisia’s incumbent operator serving more than 7 million subscribers, faced a rapidly changing market and intensifying competition as mobile tariffs fell and customer expectations rose. The company needed to minimize service disruptions, relieve strain on its live billing database (which impacted CRM, ERP and BI), streamline underutilized hardware, and accelerate time to market for new services while maintaining high service levels.

Working with Oracle and partner TMI, Tunisie Telecom modernized and virtualized its infrastructure with SPARC T7/T5 servers, Oracle Solaris 11.2, Oracle VM and Oracle GoldenGate. The upgrade cut provisioning time from days to hours, eliminated database downtime for critical applications for more than eight months, improved CRM and billing performance, reduced costs and outages, increased agility and customer retention, and enabled the IT team to resolve the majority of issues internally.
