Toro boosts fintech investment platform with Oracle Cloud

Toro, a Brazilian fintech and brokerage platform, had rapidly grown from an on-premises database environment that could no longer keep up with its scale, capacity, and reliability needs. To support its million users and expanding investment platform, the company looked to Oracle Cloud for better scalability, availability, and lower operating effort, using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and related services.

Oracle implemented Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Enterprise Database Service, and OCI Kubernetes Engine to move Toro’s production and disaster recovery workloads to the cloud. The results included about 20% lower total cost of ownership, faster backups (cut from about 4 hours to 45–60 minutes), quicker restore validation (from 90 minutes to 18), near-zero-downtime scaling, and improved agility for launching new applications and delivering real-time market data.
