Tok&Stok migrates to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for more availability, growth

Tok&Stok, a furniture and decor retailer in Brazil, was expanding rapidly and needed more availability and performance than its on-premises database environment could provide. As an Oracle Database customer using Exadata systems, the company wanted to move away from the cost and complexity of data center operations while supporting its ERP and other critical workloads on a cloud platform.

Tok&Stok migrated to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure using Oracle Exadata Database Service, with support from Oracle Active Data Guard and Oracle Platinum Services. Oracle’s solution delivered up to 45% better transaction workload performance, 54% faster query execution, and reduced purchasing runs from 173 minutes to 92 minutes, while database upgrades dropped from 32 hours of downtime to minutes with no unavailability.
