A Oracle Case Study

Preview of the TIM Brasil Case Study

TIM Brasil improves customer service using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

TIM Brasil, a major Brazilian telecommunications company serving more than 50 million people, wanted to become the country’s most popular operator by improving customer service, sales processes, and operational efficiency. To support this goal, it looked to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and a multicloud strategy to move away from on-premises systems and gain more flexibility, especially for scaling during peak demand.

Oracle helped TIM Brasil migrate critical workloads to the cloud using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Exadata Database Service, Oracle Enterprise Database Service, Oracle Cloud VMware Solution, and Oracle API Gateway, alongside Microsoft Azure for some workloads. The migration of more than 8,000 workloads and 16 petabytes of storage improved scalability and resilience, and cut customer service response times by an average of 50%, with some segments seeing reductions of up to 65%.
